the pommier the better

Seems like a whole mess of leaves fell off the trees between me and the lake over the last couple of days, because suddenly my water view is vastly improved. Of course it's still balmy as ever around here, and I plan to sleep with my windows open again, listening to the sound of the rain and the superbly blowing wind that this evening has been producing.

It looks like I'll be back up in Boston tomorrow for day 2 of Podcamp Boston, geeking it up with my fellow geekazoids. Can I just say: wicked fun. Tomorrow a friend of mine is presenting at goddamn 9:00 in the morning, so it's another stupidly early day for me.

What I'm looking forward to is being able to sleep in NEXT weekend, once my big event is finally over on Thursday and I can sleep better at night. Of course next weekend will see me in Boston again, but this time in the evening, as I've got tickets to BOTH nights of The Decembrists' Long and the Short of It Tour.

So. Awesome.

And amid all this I have been trying to catch up on all the Tivo'd goodness I missed whilst on vacation, including three episodes of the Detective Lynley Series on Mystery. That Nathaniel Parker guy just keeps on growing on me. Mm, mm, mm. What a nice torso that man has.

Man, do I like them pommy, or what? I haven't gotten the ache in my palms over him yet, but I'll keep you posted.

In other news, I've finally managed to post the rest of my vacation pictures on Flickr. So you can look at my so-called leisure activities, if you choose.
