So I gave my much-anticipated (by me, at least) presentation this morning on Web 2.0 for Nonprofit Communications, and I'm really pleased with the feedback I've gotten. I only covered blogging, photosharing, and social networking, and only in the briefest of brief surveys, because I only had about 15 minutes to speak.

unforeseen consequences of OpenSocial

I was slightly stunned this morning to have coffee with a friend who, when I mentioned the Google announcement about OpenSocial, hadn't heard about it. Sometimes I forget that not everyone has the same feed reader as I do - I still sometimes think it's like the New York Times, a shared experience.

It is so considerate of this storm to wait until the weekend to hit. Really. You just don't get that kind of old world courtliness from any old storm. I think they named it Noel after Noel Coward.
