A newsletter about making things for humans
I write about what it's like to work in tech right now — and also about the things I make that don't involve staring at screens. I make software, yes, but also sweaters and soups. Gardens and garlands and gingersnaps. Music and mittens. My analog pursuits inform my digital life, and it works in the other direction, too. It's all about making things that I know to be useful and believe to be beautiful, too.
You'll get bits and pieces about:
- How to build things people trust, enjoy, and keep around
- What happens when a plan meets the hard edges of resources and time
- The lost art of making complex things feel easy (and fun)
- What makers know about building things that endure
I'll send you an email when I have something worth saying — usually about once a month. No editorial calendar, no growth goals, just writing things down because they're worth talking about.
Subscribe if that sounds like a good use of your time. Unsubscribe anytime if it's not.
